Hi there - thanks for visiting.

I'm an open water swimmer, journalist and author, a mum of indefatigable boys, and lately I've been happily indulging a lifelong love of photography. 

A daily swim is my one non-negotiable and as a primary carer with limited time, it made sense to combine swimming with taking photographs, encouraged by some female photographers I admire deeply.

I'm lucky to live near the sea in Newcastle, Australia, and every day I grab my cameras and make a bee-line for the ocean to see what Mother Nature will serve up. Each swim is different, I just try to capture the mood, beauty and joy of the sea in all its glorious unpredictability.

I'm a member of WH!P Collective (Women of the Hunter in Photography), Women Street Photographers and the Seahorses ocean swimming group, which often features in my work.
